2024
- Won first place at the AI Conference HackDay Challenge in San Francisco alongside my friend Tanya, collaborating to develop and present an innovative AI solution during an intensive hackathon competition. [Twitter] [LinkedIn]
- Published a comprehensive AWS Bedrock tutorial in Towards Data Science, co-authored with Vladyslav Seredniy, detailing the step-by-step process of setting up development environments for GenAI web applications. The AWS Bedrock Tutorial I Wish I Had: Everything You Need to Know to Prepare Your Machine for AWS Infrastructure, Towards Data Science, Oct 2024.
- Engineered a real-time speech-to-speech translation system by integrating multiple AI services and cloud technologies, including AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker, DynamoDB, GraphQL, Whisper, and Deepgram TTS.
- Completed Stanford’s XCS224W: Machine Learning with Graphs.
2023
- Lived in beautiful British Columbia, Canada on Vancouver Island and interior BC (Rossland) temporarily, while taking a learning sabbatical.
- Balanced my tech time by making 5 large and colorful paintings, taking anywhere from 5-50 hours / each.
- Completed Stanford’s XCS221: Artificial Intelligence: Principles and Techniques
- Became an USA Citizen.
- Led the optimization of a K-means clustering algorithm for GPU parallel processing, transforming a CPU-bound implementation into a highly efficient parallel computing solution.
- Helped our intern Alex write the Python code for an article describing a k-means algorithm that he had come up with in C. The article was accepted by Towards Data Science and has had 10k+ views.
2022
- Began work and study with Bongard.ai.
- Enrolled in Stanford’s Artificial Intelligence Professional Program.
